Hey U-Co Fam!

It’s Friday! Hope you’re all having a fantastic week. You’re probably thinking, “It’s the weekend, time to kick back, catch up on Netflix, or head to the same neighborhood bar, right?”

Well, not today, my friends. We’ve all had our fair share of Netflix binges, but this time, let’s challenge ourselves to step away from that comfort zone.

I get it, some of us love our cozy couches (me included), but that doesn’t mean we should become one with them. It’s time to look beyond those four walls, whether you’re at home or staying at U-Co. We’re here to live freely, explore the world, and be the best version of ourselves.

This week, I want to encourage you to do something you’ve never done before. So, let’s talk about what often paralyzes us and keeps us stuck:

  • Fear of Failure

  • Perfectionism

  • Overthinking

  • Lack of Confidence

  • Comfort in Routine

How Do We Get Over These and Move Forward?

  1. Take Small Risks - If you’re thinking about starting a business, don’t wait for the perfect moment. Talk to a potential customer today, solve a problem with your idea. Yes, you’ll feel shy or unsure at first, but each step will build your confidence and skill.

  2. Embrace Imperfection - Nothing is perfect on the first try, or even the hundredth. Keep going, keep learning, and keep improving. Love the process, knowing that tomorrow you’ll do it even better than today.

  3. Act, Don’t Overthink - We’ve all been guilty of spinning our wheels, overanalyzing until we’re paralyzed. Instead, think, act, evaluate, and start again. Make a habit of doing rather than just thinking.

  4. Celebrate Small Wins - This one’s tough for me, but it’s so important. I’ve hit milestones without taking the time to celebrate with my team or loved ones. Don’t skip this! Look back on what you’ve achieved, whether it’s big or small, and cherish those moments. Celebrate the journey, not just the destination.

  5. Change One Thing at a Time - I’m someone who wants to overhaul everything at once, but that’s not always realistic. Instead, focus on what’s working and what’s not. Tackle one thing today that’s out of alignment with your vision, and watch how that small shift can set you on a better path.

It’s been 6 months of writing to you every Friday, and I want to say thank you for pushing me out of my own comfort zone. Let’s keep growing together.

Cheers! #ucofam
