Hey U-Co Fam,

Did you ace your SATs with a 1300? Graduated magna cum laude? Not me. I got a 960 SAT score, a 3.0 GPA, and no major recognitions. But even though I wasn’t great at school, I was always curious. I loved tinkering with new technology, learning about business, and understanding emerging trends.

My curiosity has been a huge driver in my decision-making. In my first job, I made a couple thousand bucks and put $300 into Tesla when it was just $30 a share. I just knew Tesla was going to the moon! And it did. I sold off several years later and decided to invest in myself, launching my first venture. That’s how it all started.

I can’t predict what the future holds, but I have a knack for sensing waves of change and investing in the next big thing. This led me to invest in the future of housing.

As you all know, buying real estate nowadays is tough. High interest rates, wages not keeping up with inflation, rising rents, and a population more divided than ever. If you think about it, some of you might never buy a home. Most will be renters forever and that’s okay. Not everyone needs that American Dream we were fed growing up.

My drive is to ensure affordable homes are always available. It's hard to move forward if you don’t have a roof over your head or constantly worrying about your living conditions.

Gentrification is a hot topic in major cities—I saw it in Austin, and now in Mexico City. The homeless community is huge worldwide. I can’t change that fact today, but I can try to slow it down. If I can make a difference with my business understanding and future predictions, I can impact my community. We need more affordable housing all over the world.

My curiosity drives me to be a force for good. Don’t get me wrong, I love shiny new things and tech gadgets, but I love making someone feel at home even more. Traveling or moving to a new city can make you feel vulnerable, and providing a safe haven in a beautiful country is my way of giving back. What’s yours?

Stay curious, keep exploring, and let’s make a difference together.

Until next time,

Marco
