Design Your Life: Which Road Will You Take?

Hey U-Co Fam!

As the Happiness Architect, 6 years ago, I decided to design my own way, the road less traveled as an entrepreneur.

Let’s look at life as two roads: the paved one and the rocky one.

Depending on where you started in life, you might have been on the rocky road from day one. But let’s assume most of us began on a fairly paved road, especially if you’re reading this newsletter and have traveled the world.

You keep driving along the paved road until you reach your destination. It was a wonderful road trip, but along the way, you didn’t focus much on the journey, you only cared about reaching the destination.

On the opposite side, there’s the rocky road. Here, you learn how to step on stones, how to climb steep hills, how to camp, and even how to build a fire. Who knows? You may even bump into another traveler walking the same path.

Both roads lead to the same destination, but who learned and enjoyed the journey more? It’s subjective, you could have enjoyed both in different ways. But you probably learned more taking the rocky road.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter which road you choose. You are designing your life with every decision you make. The important thing is to keep moving forward and enjoy the present moment.

As travelers, explorers, gypsies, or nomads, we should remember that we are all guests on this earth. We are here temporarily, and whatever design you create for your life, strive to leave this world better than you found it.
