Hey U-Co Fam,

As we go through life, we often assume we've got it all figured out, but we don’t.

We’re constantly evolving. Change is the only constant in our lives, and it shapes how we feel and respond to life’s challenges.

I've had my fair share of roller coaster life cycles, or seasons, that have shaped me into who I am today:

  • 1-10: A happy childhood.

  • 11-20: Learning to adapt.

  • 21-30: Experimenting.

  • 31-40: Goal-focused.

I turned 38 last month, and I've come to understand these seasons, not just in business but in life. There are times when we need to slow down and reflect. Here’s what has worked for me:

  • Winter: Reflect and learn from the past. It’s a time to slow down.

  • Spring: Embrace growth and push your limits.

  • Summer: Rest, enjoy, and take time to think.

  • Autumn: Maintain and refine what you’ve built.

Coming from a workaholic family, all I knew was the hustle culture—go, go, go. My grandpa used to say, "There's no crisis that a 12-hour workday can't fix." I get what he meant, and maybe that worked back in the 60s, but it doesn’t necessarily apply in 2024.

I believe we’re here to learn from past experiences and evolve into the best versions of ourselves. We can’t keep repeating old patterns and blaming our parents for childhood traumas.

If we want to progress in our business and as individuals, we need to understand these cycles, which are unique to each of us. Take the time to slow down and recognize the patterns in your life.

What worked yesterday might not work today. Sometimes, you need to unlearn what you’ve learned. Progress often happens in small, almost imperceptible steps, but if you zoom out, you’ll see the big picture of your evolution.

If you’re working yourself into the ground, stop! Listen to your body and give yourself permission to look beyond what’s right in front of you. Quiet your mind, heal your soul, and grow into the best version of yourself.

Struggling to make more than $5k/month as a writer?

Stop “freelance writing.”

Here’s the truth about why you aren’t consistently landing high-paying clients:

❌ You’re writing “anything” for “anyone,” not focusing on 1 offer.
❌ You’re wasting hours on freelancer sites, not “creating” your own clients.
❌ You’re doing low-paying work (like blog posts), not delivering outcomes.
