"Have you ever had a 'NO MAMES' moment? Alright, first, let’s get you in context. 'No mames' is a moment of shock, 'oh shit,' 'wow,' or as kids call it nowadays, 'shook.' Back in the day, we had a few events called 'No Mames Nights.' These were stand-up comedy but based on a travel story, and at the end, you had to say 'NO MAMES!'

I’ll share with you one of my own 'No Mames' stories. Back in 2019, I don’t know how many of you are U-Co OGs that stayed in U-Co Roma (Orizaba Street, not Queretaro). I was basically homeless as I was moving from Airbnb to hostels while I was remodeling the first U-Co location. I finally got the lease signed and decided to ‘save’ some money and move in. The location was to be remodeled in the next 3 months, I had running toilet water, and showered at the gym, it was only for me. Well, I decided to stay in the most complete room, placed a mattress on the floor, got a temporary desk, and had my temporary room. What could go wrong, right? The windows had no glass in them, so the first night, I got mosquito bites all over my face (it was the only part not covered with blankets). I looked like a kid with chickenpox. The next morning, my contractor looked at me like I was a crazy kid. Nevertheless, I got stung a couple more times the next few days but nothing like the first night. That was my first 'NO MAMES' story while building U-Co.
