Hey U-Co Fam,

Let's talk hustle culture. It's in my blood – my grandma, at 85, still works her ass off. Pretty impressive, right? So why should I make excuses? I used to get up at 5 am, work 12-15 hour days, and hustle consistently from 24 to 32. Corporate job by day, side gig by night – that was my life.

But things changed. Last night, I had a heart-to-heart with my wife about priorities. She's feeling the burnout from her non-stop job. We're always chasing the next patient, the next promotion, and the next big idea. It's go-go, but sometimes we lose sight of why we're doing it all. We get sucked into the rat race, doing the same routine day in and day out, waiting for the next weekend or vacation.

So, here's how I've revamped my daily grind to turn life's cycles into upward spirals:

  1. Forget weekends – they're a social construct.

  2. Move your body – even with a desk job, invest in a standing desk.

  3. Work daily – even an hour on Sunday counts.

  4. Prioritize personal growth – read, exercise, meditate, and network.

  5. Foster continuous improvement – aim to be 1% better each day.

  6. Practice patience – good things take time, even for us hustlers.

  7. Stay focused – learn to say no when necessary.

  8. Embrace the unknown – you can't control everything, and that's okay.

  9. Offer and accept help – we're all in this together.

  10. Prioritize self-care – pamper yourself, because nobody else will.

We often put everything and everyone else first, neglecting ourselves in the process. But as I reminded my wife, as a doctor, if you can't take care of yourself, how can you care for others?

Remember, work smart, not just hard.
